About us
TOPIC was incorporated in 2000 to capitalize on the SAROST group’s oil services experience and to take advantage of existing oil and gas opportunities in Tunisia. Its core activities are the acquisition of interests in licenses, their development, and their exploitation.
The Company initially acquired a 15% interest in the Jelma block in 2001 in partnership with PA Resources. In 2005, in the expectation of an increase in global oil prices, TOPIC decided to take a position in Tunisia’s marginal oil fields and acquired a 100% interest in Halk El Menzel concession from OMV. In 2012, TOPIC acquired a 43.75% interest in the Zelfa concession in partnership with ETAP and ATLANTIS.

Acquisitions of producing or proved undeveloped assets from the midsized exploration and production companies which are rationalizing their assets in Tunisia and in other countries in Africa.
